You can extend the life of your chain, and minimize the grease on your leg, by periodically cleaning your chain. Just clamp the tool over the chain, add some degreaser (Simple Green works well) and crank the pedal backwards about thirty times. Wash the chain with a bit of soapy water, dry it off, and add new oil.
